According to the Iranian Fire Department regulations (2015 edition), if the floor area of a parking level exceeds 1,000 m², that level must be divided into at least two smoke control zones, each with access to two separate escape routes. If the floor area is less than 1,000 m², the entire level may be considered a single zone, provided it is effectively separated from other floors.
As a real‑world example of F300 car park smoke exhaust system design, the Lotus Hotel project—designed and executed by our company—is presented below.
The project includes four basement parking levels (B1 to B4), each containing one fire zone. The table below shows the fire zone divisions and the gross floor area of each zone, all of which are covered by the ventilation and smoke exhaust network.
As indicated in the table, each floor in this project is treated as a single fire zone.
