Parking Air Exhaust, Design, and CFD Simulation

One of the most effective methods for estimating the validity of a design prior to implementation is to simulate the parking space and its fans using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) principles, and to examine fluid flow behavior at various sections.

In this method, based on predefined operational scenarios for the fans, the parking environment can be modeled. By analyzing airflow at different cross‑sections, a thorough understanding of fluid movement patterns can be achieved. CFD also helps identify potential issues in the smoke exhaust system—such as dead zones or areas with low airflow—and allows designers to resolve these problems by repositioning jet fans, adjusting their angles, or sometimes increasing or decreasing the number of fan units. In essence, CFD analysis and flow simulation enable the determination of the optimal number, placement, and orientation of jet fans.
